How it came to be
So this CRT TV was owned by a family member that passed away recently and his wish was for me to have it.
I guess he knew I am into repairing stuff.
It just so happens that I own a VCR player and a Playstation 1, maybe he knew that too.
Not sure if that's the reason.
Anyways, I decided to take it upon myself to figure out what is wrong with this TV and can it be fixed.
I have skills in soldering, both with soldering iron and hot air gun.
I also own one multimeter.
I have very little knowledge on components themselves.
I can test a diode or a resistor or transistor, but, I don't know do I do that within the circuit, or do I have to de-solder the component.
Even so, it would be crazy to de-solder every single one, there have to be some steps to take first, that can at least tell me in which area the faulty component is.
So far I watched, like 50 videos, on the internet.
And I have read many blog posts and articles about troubleshooting a CRT, but none were helpful, either because of language barrier(many Hindi videos) or because author did not explain basic troubleshooting steps, instead mainly focused on his specific problem and stopped there.
Anyhow, with little knowledge but tons of will to learn, I want to try my best.
Let's see if this thing can be brought back to life.
